RENI ADEBAYO (she/her)
Campaign Strategist
Reni has always been an advocate for social justice. Her political life began in college, where she led and organized efforts to promote a more inclusive on-campus experience for international students and students of color. Throughout college, Reni continued to champion efforts for social change everywhere from the airwaves of Southwest Nigeria to the streets of a quaint little town in South England. She did so by writing think pieces on politics and social issues, which she eventually compiled into her first book, 52 Thoughts on Nigerian Politics. Reni has been featured for her advocacy work by the BBC, National Business Extra, ITRealms, and NTA.
Reni earned her Bachelor of Science in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bath in 2019. Reni then moved to Buffalo in November 2020, about 2 days before the presidential elections. For logistical reasons, she was unable to vote, but still found a way to be involved in the political process by reporting the election results in her district live.
Since then, Reni has worked with progressive candidates up and down the ballot, from hospital districts to Congress. Reni has also worked with organizations tackling key issues such as affordable housing, criminal justice, and voter engagement. Reni’s Joyful Mailer won a Pollie award for Best Use of Social Pressure for the 2023 election cycle. In May 2024, Reni earned her Master of Public Administration and Policy (MPAP) from American University.
Reni is passionate about equality in all aspects of life and has a goal of visiting at least 100 countries within her lifetime.
