DAWN JIMENEZ (she/her)

Chief of Staff

Dawn is deeply dedicated to revolutionizing the nature of work. She is known for incorporating mindfulness concepts, employee empowerment, progressive social theory, and high-level employer accountability into workplace practices. She is especially passionate about ensuring that marginalized communities, voices, and experiences are centered and uplifted.

As the Director of Employment & Culture, Dawn seeks to set Evinco apart from other organizations by taking a holistic and mindful approach to how we conduct ourselves as an employer. This translates to empowering employees, being accountable to our values, transforming how we perceive work, and leading in socially just employment practices.

Dawn has over 25 years of experience in the people operations leadership space. This includes time invested in the legal, non-profit, local government, and consulting industries. Throughout her career she has built a reputation as a fierce advocate for employees and a trusted advisor to leadership; challenging the status quo and innovating workplaces in a way that honors the whole person while strengthening the organization.

During her nearly 15 years with the County of San Diego, she was highly regarded as a leader and mentor. Her contributions impacted the areas of performance management, compensation, workforce management, training and development, leave, benefits, labor relations, change management, policy and procedure, representative advocacy, and conflict resolution. While there she was also able to witness how the levers of government are manipulated to benefit the powerful, wealthy, and well-connected — and how this often translates into toxic public and organizational policy.

Upon exiting her County position, Dawn opened her own firm specializing in spiritually therapeutic interventions and education, mindful business consultation, and individual coaching. This work centers black, indigenous, and other people of color, and the disabled and LGBTQ+ communities.

Dawn holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and a specialty in Employee Engagement and Motivation. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.
