Ami Wong is passionate about an intersectional approach to justice and politics and comes from working in event programming and communications with the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity at Duke University, as well as marketing and publicity in the publishing world with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and Quirk Books.

Ami grew up in the DC metro area and has been exposed to political campaigns from a very early age. Seeing the impact of policies on the people around her led her to work first in a higher education queer resource center, and now Evinco Strategies, where she’s excited to put her professional skills and lived experiences to use for greater political good. She’s especially passionate about intersectionality in justice, community building, public transportation, and affordable housing, and (outside of politics) video games.
