About

Evinco aims to break down barriers to progress and make way for a truly representative, multiracial democracy by empowering people from historically disenfranchised communities to speak out and run.

Our work helps build political movements and the pipeline of Democratic candidates and operatives.

Evinco isn’t your run-of-the-mill consulting firm.

We’re not here to parachute in at the last second and tell you what to do, make money off other people’s ambition, gatekeep political power, or broadcast our beliefs to the voters.

We know that no one person is bigger than the issues. Candidates and campaigns come and go – infrastructure, capacity building, and knowledge sharing will ensure progress and impact for those who need it most.

We’re movement builders -- in it for the long haul.

We Believe:

  • Politics doesn’t have to be toxic or mysterious. Accessible politics solves problems.

  • Movements need infrastructure to create change.

  • Campaign promises should translate to good policy.

  • Those closest to the pain should be closest to the solution.

  • Political courage is a public virtue.

  • Always campaign with integrity and embrace authenticity.

  • Government should be a force for good.

  • Play by the rules you’re given, create new ones after you win.

  • Aim squarely at the injustice in the system.

  • Amplify the voices of those who have historically been silenced.

  • Be mindful of the power you wield.

  • Sometimes integrity is more important than victory.

  • Every campaign can be meaningful, regardless of the outcome.

In Practice, We Work To:

  • Build the pipeline of progressive democratic candidates and operatives who are rooted in political courage and authenticity.

  • Contribute to a truly representative democracy by working with diverse candidates to get more women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ community members, justice-involved, and differently abled people elected.

  • Dive deep into issue areas and necessary policy changes that will chip away at systemic inequities, particularly in the areas of: criminal justice, housing, climate justice, civil & human rights, and representation.

  • Seek out geographies and down-ballot campaigns that traditionally have not had access to professional political support and helping them build infrastructure.

  • Break down the toxic workplace culture prevalent in political spaces and causes justice warriors and movement builders to burn out and give up.

  • Make politics accessible to everyone and minimize barriers to entry in politics by providing knowledge, money, and support.

  • Train and mentor the next generation of political operatives and staffers through SOAR Academy, and our paid intern and fellowship programs.

  • Support clients and communities in their movement-building efforts by taking a back seat and following the lead of community members on the ground, while using our infrastructure to amplify, advise, and support the things they don’t have capacity or know-how to do.
